About me

Hi, I’m Jelwyn! I am a licensed clinical social worker who has worn many hats in my professional experience. From case management and short-term counseling in community mental health, to individual/family/group therapy in partial-hospitalization and residential settings, to virtual school-based therapy with students from K-12, and now in private practice, you can say I’ve seen and heard a lot!

My goal in therapy is to help clients identify and achieve goals that matter to them and in a way that works for them. Maybe you have a dream destination that you want to travel to, a dream job that you want to attain, or a whole dream LIFE that you have fully imagined. Maybe you have been dealing with a lot of stress that feels unmanageable and you cannot stop overthinking. Maybe you are engaging in behaviors that you know are not serving you, but they feel uncontrollable. By exploring the WHY and the HOW of these dreams together, we can make them a reality.

Personally, I identify as a second-generation Filipina-American, was born and raised in Hawaii, and have called Washington state my second home for over a decade now. I go by she/her/hers. Aside from my professional experience, my experiences as a woman of color, an Asian-American, a Filipina-American, a daughter of immigrants, and a Hawaii local living on the mainland also inform my clinical practice.
